Amidst Covid-19 afflicted world, Tibetan government urges people to pray for speedy resolution to pandemic on full moon day

Dhsaramshala: On the occasion of the Buddha’s several important achievements coinciding on 5 June in the month of Saka Dawa. Every year during the auspicious full moon day of Saka Dawa month, a public Ceremony for Eight Mahayana Precepts (Vows) is done at Thekchen Choeling Temple, McLeod Ganj. This Year His Holiness the Dalai Lama has announced a live webcast scheduled for the day to confer the Ceremony for Generating Bodhichitta on 9 am (Indian Standard Time) on the full moon day, from His official residence in Mecleodganj (Dharamshala) in north India.
Tibetan Government in exile (CTA) said that those interested may take part in it through the live webcast on various internet channels in Tibetan and other languages on time, keeping social distancing rules while viewing the live webcast
As the virtuous deeds committed in the sacred month beget manifold positive karma, the Department of Religion and Culture, Central Tibetan administration (CTA) has appealed the Tibetan people to accumulate positive karma and enhance the collective merit for the Tibetan cause. Especially, amidst the COVID-19 afflicted world, the department urges people to pray for a speedy resolution to the pandemic.
