Amidst panic, North East students at CT Group Maqsudan feel safe
They were motivated by CT Group Managing Director and Campus Director
Jalandhar: With the outbreak of the COVID-19, various videos emerged on social media where the students from North East, especially residing in Delhi and Pune were not treated well and faced many racist comments as they were labelled as ‘coronavirus’.
But the North East students, around 30 in number, studying in CT Group North Campus (Maqsudan) are feeling safe and were recently motivated by CT Group Managing Director Manbir Singh and Campus Director Dr. Jasdeep Kaur Dhami.
One of the students said, “CT is our second home and we feel safe here. But, looking at the current scenario, I request all not to pass any racist comment as we are also Indians.”
Manbir Singh, MD CT Group said, “Like we showed our unity last evening at 5pm, similarly I would request everyone not to discriminate or label anyone for this deadly virus. Every year, thousands of young minds from North East migrate to various cities in search of jobs and education. We should treat them well and at CT Group, we make sure that everybody feels safe and is treated equally.”
