Amity International School students’ winners of Wild Wisdom Global Challenge 2021 organised by WWF for Nature
Gurugram, December 8, 2021: Amity International School, Sector 46, Gurugram, students were declared the winners of the Wild Wisdom Global Challenge 2021 organised by Wild Wisdom Fund for Nature. Siddhant Kaura and Chinmay Karwa, students of Class 7 brought laurels to the school by securing the 3rd Position internationally by competing with the best performers of the World. The students were ecstatic at their victory and thanked School Principal, Mrs. Arti Chopra and their teachers for their continuous guidance and support.
The Wild Wisdom Global Challenge 2021 was organised by Wild Wisdom Fund for Nature (WWF) along with CBSE on the theme- “Life on Our Planet- A Hope for Future Generations”. The Wild Wisdom Global Challenge 2021 was an attempt to provide a unique opportunity for students to delve deeper into the amazing wildlife, gain knowledge and take pride in its natural diversity. This initiative aimed to instil a sense of concern for the natural world and inspire students to demonstrate their concern for conservation.
During the first round (School level), the organisers provided study materials in the form of wisdom nuggets, newsletters and videos. An online quiz was conducted where 36 students from different schools participated and two top scorers amongst them, were selected for the national round. Chinmay Karwa and Siddhant Kaura of Amity International School, Sector 46, Gurugram, made their entry in the National round. The National Level Challenge started in November and in the final round, they secured their position in top 50 teams (Ranked 13) of India to participate in the Global challenge.
In December 2021 Global Challenge Live Finale quiz was organised online where 250 teams from 38 countries of the world participated. Total 20 questions were asked and the points were awarded to the fastest and correct answer. This one-hour event was held to identify the most enthusiastic future environmentalists. Their consistent hard work has fetched the school library, a Harper Collins Library Bundle (3rd Prize).
