Amity University Haryana organised STUTI 2022
Gurugram, February 24, 2022: Amity University Haryana organized STUTI 2022 (Synergistic Training Program Utilizing the scientific and Technology Infrastructure) a week long ‘Science Week Program’ organized by Amity School of Applied Sciences which is a student awareness program, an initiative of Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India at our Amity University Haryana Gurugram Campus (Off Line), today. More than 100 students from various schools (Ryan International School, Modern Hind School, Yaduvanshi Shiksha Niketan etc) participated in the program. The program was immensely beneficial for the Science students of class XI and XII and it has sensitized them about the state-of-art science equipment available in the various Labs of the University (Physics, Chemistry, Forensic Science, Engineering and Biotechnology labs) and provided an opportunity of lab demonstrations/experiments, thus contributed to the hands-on training and experiential learning of the students.
In his address to the young mind of students from various schools in the NCR, Prof P B Sharma, Vice Chancellor said "We at Amity University are seriously engaged in Research and Innovations in various areas of Science and Technology that are of direct relevance to empowering India and the world community with the power of science and the might of technology that shall not only solve the pressing problem that we have today but shall also have the capability to address the future challenges. Our scientists at Amity University have made all of us proud of their contribution to the advancement of Life Science, Nano Science and Technology, Environmental Science and Climate Technology, Data Science & Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Vision Science and Engineering, Nutrition and Food Science, Green Energy Technology and Water Technology.
In my opinion the next technology is Life Technology that includes Life Sciences for improving immunity to make us free from diseases and protect us from viruses and microbial attack, we need to pay a greater attention to Mindtech (meditation and prayers), Body Tech (Yoga, Science and Technology) and Food Tech, to understand our metabolism what it suits to eat and what not to eat. We also need to pay attention to Soul Technology, that makes our soul happy by creating a green environment and smiling flowers and nurture microbiol of free environment through fragrance of divinity created by natural perfumes, added Prof Sharma.
While delivering his opening remarks Prof Vikas Madhukar, Deputy Pro Vice Chancellor, Amity University Haryana talked on the agenda of the programme highlighting the importance of practical and hands-on learning in Labs for the science students. He mentioned that last two years of online learning is failed to provide the much need practical experience to students and STUTI programme at Amity has been rightly organized to provide much needed Lab exposure to all science students.
While motivating students Maj Gen G S Bal (Retd), DSW, AUH said, “Let’s prepare our country self-sufficient. We need to strengthen our nation through science and technology and the young minds like you can change it.”
During the event an Innovative Idea Contest also played amongst students in which they presented their innovative ideas inn maximum of 200 words. In the contest students talked about farming innovation, weapon innovation and how artificial intelligence can do wonders in present scenarios. Prof A K Yadav delivered the closing remarks.
Dr. Charu Jain-Assitant Professor, ASET, Mr. Gaurav Taneja, Asst Director-Admissions, Ms. Samidha Tembe, Assistant Manager, Mr. Vibhu Kartsnyam, Ms. Monika Sharma, Mr. Dheeraj Kumar Singh, Market Promotions were also present at the occasion.
