Anand for Guwahati Press Club screening

Guwahati: Popular Hindi movie ‘Anand’ will be screened at Guwahati Press Club on Friday (24 August). Screening of the 1971 Indian drama film, directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee, will begin at 5 pm. Another show at 3 pm is also on the card. The movie stars Rajesh Khanna in the lead role with Amitabh Bachchan, Sumita Sanyal, Ramesh Deo and Seema Deo. It has cinematography by Jaywant Pathare and music by Salil Chowdhury. The film is loosely inspired by Akira Kurosawa’s 1952 made ‘Ikiru’.
