Ananda Dhwani Music Trust announces 6th Edition of Whitefield Music Festival

Bengaluru, November 29, 2022: World-renowned Indian Classical Music artists, across disciplines of Carnatic. Hindustani, Kathak, Tabla and Sitar will be performing at the Whitefield Music Festival 2022 presented by Ananda Dhwani Music Trust. Whitefield Music Festival 2022 to bring the Uniq Carnatic - Hindustani Jugalbandi to life along with stalwarts in action. The festival will take place on December 3-4 at the Inner Circle Ground, Whitefield from 5 pm onwards.
 
Fourteen renowned maestros and artistes from across India would be performing, engaging and entertaining the audience with their performances in five concerts scheduled over the two days. Amongst others, performances by world renowned Carnatic Classical Vocalist Vidushi Bombay Jayashri (Padma Shri) and Tabla Maestro Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri (Padma Shri), one of the doyens of the Lucknow Gharana, are also planned.
 
In line with the objectives of Ananda Dhwani, Ishita Datta, Trustee & Secretary said, “The Indian Classical Music and Art forms have been losing their essence and there is a drift away from our heritage and culture. Through these events, we try to focus on generating awareness about our classical art forms and thereby make classical music and dance as much a part of our lifestyle, as other genres. We are offering free entry, hoping to encourage larger audiences to come and enjoy the performances.”
 
The Ananda Dhwani Music Trust, Bangalore, is a not-for-profit organization that seeks to promote, and thereby preserve Indian Classical Music and Dance.  Started in 2011, the trust was formally registered in 2017 and since then there has been no looking back.  The primary goal of the trust is to bring forth the joys of Indian classical music and dance, through world class performances, as well as create a platform to nurture upcoming talents in this spectrum.
