Annual ANO Conference held at NCC Battalion Headquarters  

Jalandhar, December 24, 2024: Annual Associate NCC Officers' Conference was held at 2 Punjab NCC Battalion. Three NCC officers were promoted on this occasion. Associate NCC officers from 25 different educational institutions gathered to participate in the conference. Future NCC examinations, army attachment camps, dress allowance of cadets, electronic bank transfer of refreshment allowance and refresher courses were discussed in detail in the conference. The conference was chaired by Colonel Vinod Joshi, Commanding Officer 2 Punjab NCC Battalion. Colonel Joshi said that ANO and Care Taker Officers are the pillars of NCC. He said that the main objective of NCC is to build the character of cadets with the basic mantra of unity and discipline and to make them aware of various career options. He gave a message to the NCC officers to encourage the cadets to join the army, police and paramilitary forces.
 
Colonel Joshi said that 2 Punjab NCC Battalion is the oldest NCC Battalion in the country. He said that the youth has an important contribution in the development of the country and it is our moral responsibility to give them proper guidance. After the conference, Third Officer Pawan Kumar, Government Senior Secondary School Samray Jandiala; Third Officer Deepika Dua, Government Senior Secondary School Gakhal Dhaliwal; And Third Officer Dharmendra Kumar Meena, Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 3 has been promoted to Second Officer. Refresher course at Officer Training Academy, Gwalior or Officer Training Academy, Madhya Pradesh is mandatory for promotion. They have got this promotion after three-four years of tireless and honest work in NCC. The Commanding Officer also congratulated Second Officer Deepika Dua on becoming a lecturer. The conference concluded with NCC song and high lunch.
