Annual convocation 2017 of Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College


Ludhiana, March 4, 2017: Annual convocation 2017 of Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana was held on Saturday. The convocation marked the beginning of a new life for more than 700 students. The college awarded 5 Ph.D degrees, 250 postgraduate degrees and 500 undergraduate degrees to the students. Dr.M.P.Poonia, Vice Chairman AICTE, New Delhi was the chief guest and delivered the convocation speech. He congratulated the students who were conferred degrees. He said, Convocation is the day of celebration of academic achievement as well as it is the initial firm step towards fulfillment of one’s long cherished professional dreams. He also congratulated the management, director and faculty of the college for various achievement of this college. The function was presided over by Prof. Kirpal Singh Badungar, President, Shiromani Gurudwara Parbhandak Committee (SGPC), Sri Amritsar and Nankana Sahib Education Trust (NSET), Ludhiana.
The ceremony was formally inaugurated on the college premises with an address by college Director Dr. Manohar Singh Saini, where he shared the progress report of the college and extended his wishes to the students. In his address, he said that the convocation reflects college's efforts in creating future professionals who will strive to bring about a positive change around them. Dr. Amanpreet Singh, Registrar, IKG PTU Kapurthala, Er. Paramjit Singh, Controller of Examinations, IKG PTU conferred the degrees.
On this special day, a special Envelope of Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana was released with the help of Department of Posts, Punjab Circle, Chandigarh , which made this day memorable for all.
There was lot of enthusiasm among students. During the whole celebration, all HODs, Section Incharges, staff, parents of students were present and enjoyed the historical moments.
