Annual function ‘I’m Alive’ at BCM School
Ludhiana, November 30, 2019: BCM School,Basant Avenue, Dugri Road, Ludhiana hosted its annual function ‘I’m Alive’ which turned out to be a kaleidoscope of celebrations replete with music, dazzling dances and varied hues of life. The chief guest Dr.Manju Sahni (Principal, Govt College for Girls, Ludhiana) graced the occasion with her benign presence. Dr.Prem Kumar (Executive Director, BCM Institutes), Dr.Vandna Shahi, parents and alumni of the school added élan to the occasion. The red letter day included a series of thematic performances ranging from tribute to Gandhiji on his 150th birth anniversary, a sensational choreography on ‘corruption’, a Qawali, ‘Mitti Rudan Kare’- a play on growing evil of drugs’, Soulful Sufi dance, several ebullient dance performances to a theatrical musical ‘I’m Alive’ that ignited each individual’s mind to liberate from evils and build a bright future full of hope and humility. The annual report of the school in the domain of sports, academic and cultural achievement was read by school Principal Dr. Vandna Shahi. She encouraged students to hone and sharpen their talents and potentials to carve niche for the nation. Accolades were bestowed to exceptional and outstanding performers in sports, scholastic and co-scholastic areas. The limelight of the event was captured by Saksham Sharma (Super Dancer 3 fame), Shanveer (Skoda National Cricketer), Pratham & Sukhman( Winners- Regional CBSE Science Exhibition) who, along with their parents were honoured for their stupendous achievement. Dr. Manju Sahni in her address, appreciated the activities of school and commended Management, Principal and staff for providing a conducive atmosphere for the all-round development of the students. She further requested the parents not to thrust their dreams on their children and never to compare them with their peers. Vote of thanks was rendered by Mr. Dinesh Kumar Sharma followed by National Anthem. Overall, the celebration concluded on a happy note encouraging students to set further a milestone in the journey of success.
