Ludhiana, December 2, 2024: A heart-warming, colourful, and glorious cultural extravaganza, Roots to Wings: The Saga of Change was unveiled by Sat Paul Mittal School amidst great splendor, zeal, and resplendence. This much-awaited event highlighted the school’s commitment to excellence in culture, innovation, and creativity. The Satyans presented a scintillating show with utmost poise and vigour, glorifying the eminence and existence of this institution, which is setting standards across the globe.
The function was graced by Jitendra Jorwal, Deputy Commissioner of Ludhiana, one of the most recognised officers in Punjab for his leadership and innovative approach to governance. Rakesh Bharti Mittal, Chairman of the Governing Council, Sat Paul Mittal School, delivered the welcome address. The floral welcome was followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp amidst the sounds of mantras reverberating in the arena. Roots to Wings: The Saga of Change, a musical drama, showcased the essence of change as an inevitable and continuous force that shapes all aspects of life, nature, and society. It explored the various dimensions of change and its importance in fostering growth, evolution, and innovation. The cultural fiesta was marked by a series of exotic talents, thus creating a festive mood.
The function began with a soul-stirring invocation to seek the blessings of God, the Almighty, imparting the timeless lessons from the four yugas and their enduring relevance in today’s world. This was followed by the Annual Report presented by the Satyans of Class XI, highlighting the school’s progress in academic and co-curricular activities. The Satyans of Class II showcased the changes in seasons, nature, and the life cycle of a butterfly through the dance performance “Changing Rhythms of Nature,” reminding us of the continuous transformations occurring around us. Next, a powerful performance by the Satyans of Class V titled “Echoes of Freedom” depicted the struggles, sacrifices, and victories that shaped the path of freedom. Satyans of Classes V-C and V-D gave a marvelous performance on “Glory of India,” showcasing India’s contemporary progress and global stature, portraying its rise as a powerhouse in the 21st century. Through fluid movements and synchronized steps, the Satyans of Class VIII expressed the joys, challenges, and unwavering support that friendship brings into life, illustrating how this relationship has transformed over time. A wonderful display of childhood memories and games through the song “Bachpan” was showcased by the Satyans of Class V-B. The rhythm of joy, ecstasy, and warmth reverberated with the energetic Musical Confluence, showcasing the evolution of music.
“Cadence of Evolving Traditions” and “The Symphony of Future” by the students of Classes VIII and XI celebrated cultural endurance, adaptation, and explored the possibilities of what the future holds through the universal language of dance.
The audience was mesmerized by the Grand Finale, “Ignite the Light,” performed by the Satyans of Classes V, VIII, and XI, emphasizing the essence of celebrating life and the new wonders and challenges change brings. The theme of the function enthralled everyone, and the audience was awestruck by the talent and skill revealed in each performance.
The Chief Guest, Jitendra Jorwal, praised the show and congratulated the school for its enthralling performance. His inspiring words of encouragement and wisdom resonated deeply with the Satyans, leaving a lasting impression on their young minds. The vote of thanks was proposed by Bhupinder Gogia, Principal, Sat Paul Mittal School. The function concluded with the School Song followed by the National Anthem.
