Annual Inter–College Debate organised by Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust
Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust organized the Annual Inter–College Debate on the topic “Advertising Misleads the Youth” as a part of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru’s 135th birthday celebrations at Guru Nanak Khalsa College for Women, Model Town, Ludhiana.
Ludhiana, October 28, 2024: Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust organized the Annual Inter–College Debate on the topic “Advertising Misleads the Youth” as a part of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru’s 135th birthday celebrations at Guru Nanak Khalsa College for Women, Model Town, Ludhiana.
A total of 11 teams from various colleges of Ludhiana participated in the debate. On this occasion Er. Gurvinder Singh Sarna, General Secretary of College Managing Committee was the Chief Guest. The Debate was attended by the members of Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust and other educationists.
The speakers presented their views on the topic confidently and fearlessly and displayed their oratory skills. It was a lively debate that had all shades of arguments and counter arguments, from pessimism to ultimate optimism. Well researched instances of persons and personalities who changed the world by sheer conviction and perpetual goodness, kindled the motion. Not only that, the intelligentsia present was enthralled by the performance of the participants. The chief guest complimented the participants for their brilliant performance. He was impressed by the logical and analytical approach of the speakers. The following were the winners.
1st Prize- Miss Yashika Jethi (Guru Nanak Girls College)
2nd Prize- Miss. Prabhmeet Kaur (Guru Nanak Khalsa College for Women)
3rd Prize- Miss Prakirti Kumari, (Ramgarhia Girls College)
Consolation Prize- Miss Inayat Sabharwal (Khalsa College for Women)
The overall running trophy won by Guru Nanak Girls College, Model Town, Ludhiana.
The Nehru Trophy and the individual prizes would be presented to the winners on 12th November 2024 in a function being held by Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust, Ludhiana.
