Annual Sports Meet 2018 held at College of Nursing in Malakpur

Ludhiana, November 22, 2018: College of Nursing in Malakpur organized most awaited event “Annual Sports Meet 2018” on 20th and 21st November, 2018. The meet began with arrival of chief guest Sh.Prem Kumar Gupta Secretary, DMCH, Mrs.Sunila Gupta guest of honour and Dr.Sandeep Kaushal Assistant Dean Academics, DMCH. Dr.Mrs.TrizaJiwan Principal, College of Nursing welcomed the chief guest and guest of honour and other dignitaries. She addresses the participants and audience with motivational speech. The opening ceremony performed by B.Sc(N) students with welcome dance.

Events formally commenced with march-past which was guided by Sardar Mangal Singh Sub Inspector, Punjab Police and led by Faculty College of Nursing. Itwas a magnificent display of discipline and coordination of all the different squads of various classes Yellow, Red, White, Blue and Orange. March-past was followed by arrival of Olympic torch and oath taking ceremony by best athlete Paramvir SinghB.Sc(N) 4thyear. Chief guest Sh. Prem Kumar Gupta Secretary, DMCHdeclared the Annual Sports Meet 2018 open. Abunch of colorful balloons was released and pigeons were flown symbolizing the vibrant hopes of the students that were flying high. Students proceeded with the scheduled track and field events.

Students of various classes put up several stalls with many exciting and amazing games and rewards. Days were filled with exciting victories and near misses from all the classes. Faculty members also participated actively in sports scheduled for them. The chief guest Sh. Prem Kumar Gupta Secretary, DMCH awarded winners with medals and declared the sports meet close. Akashdeep Singh BSc (N) 3rd year declared as best athlete. Popular class was declared the best class. Lastly Mr. Kapil Sharma Associate Professor, College of Nursing presented vote of thanks and it was over.
