Ferozepur, October 30, 2022: Within few days, another movement of drone has been spotted in Ferozepur Sector.
In the recent incident, the BSF troops belonging to 182 Battalion spotted a drone which was coming from Pakistan side in the alignment of border pillar no 212/17 near border outpost Joginder along the Indo-Pakistan border in this sector.
As per information, the BSF troops fired almost 18 rounds towards the drone with INSAS rifles. However, it returned back towards Pakistan.
Later a massive search operation was carried out in the area by the BSF troops along with Punjab police officials.
Earlier on October 15, a Pakistani drone had thrown a brick inside the Indian territory. On October 14, the BSF troops belonging to 182 Battalion had spotted the drone movement near BOP New Gajniwala in this sector.
It is pertinent to mention that yesterday night, BSF had seized a consignment of weapons last night including three AK Assault rifles with six magazines, three Mini AK 47 rifles with five magazines, Three pistols (Beretta) with six empty magazines along with 200 live rounds.
