Ludhiana, December 13, 2024: In a major blow to the Congress party in Ludhiana, sitting Councillor Sikander Singh Palaha and Ward In-charge Hardeep Singh Palaha, along with their supporters, officially joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). The leaders were inducted into AAP in the presence of Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian and Prominent leader of Atam Nagar Kamaljeet Singh Karwal.
Welcoming the leaders, Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian said, “The Congress party’s declining credibility and lack of direction have compelled honest and dedicated leaders like Sikander Singh Palaha and Hardeep Singh Palaha to shift to a progressive and people-centric party like AAP. Their entry strengthens our resolve to serve Punjab better.”
Kamaljeet Singh Karwal said that the induction of these leaders and their supporters will provide a significant boost to AAP in Ludhiana. Sikander Singh Palaha stated that his decision to join AAP was driven by the party’s commitment to transparency, good governance, and the welfare of the people. “The Congress has failed to deliver on its promises, while AAP has consistently worked to improve the lives of the people. I am proud to be a part of this transformative journey,” he added.
This development is expected to further solidify AAP’s position in Ludhiana, particularly in the run-up to the municipal elections. With more leaders and grassroots workers aligning with the party, AAP continues to emerge as a dominant force in local bodies elections.
