Anurag motivated youth towards fitness on occasion of International Olympic Day in Dharamshala

Dharamshala, June 23, 2016: Anurag Thakur, MP Hamirpur, Vice President Indian Olympic Association, celebrated the International Olympic Day, in Dharamshala on Thursday.
Thakur encouraged the students to make any form of exercise, yoga or sport a part of their daily lives.
Olympic run was organised at HPCA Stadium Dharamshala, which was attended by over 200 children.
Thakur said, “On the occasion of International Olympic Day, I would like to give a message to the youth of the country to lead a healthy lifestyle. Everyone must choose a sport of their choice and pursue it to ensure they remain fit and disciplined. Sports do not only help one stay healthy but also contributes towards the personality of an individual.”
Adding further, he said, “I am pleased to see that the top three winners in today’s race were girls, in-fact top ten positions have been held by girls. These results reiterate the strength and spirit of women. I would like to congratulate all the winners and wish them luck in their future endeavors.”
The top three winners were awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 2100 each as a token of appreciation.
