ON ANVIL: Introduction of Kabaddi in Asian and Olympic games

Sangrur/Chandigarh, December 6, 2012: “We are working relentlessly for getting the mother game of Punjabis, Kabaddi introduced in Asian and Olympic games. The first step would be to introduce Kabaddi in the national games.”

This was stated by Parminder Singh Dhindsa, who has recently been elected as the Vice President of the Indian Olympics Committee (IOC).

Dhindsa was here at War Heroes Stadium to enjoy the Kabaddi matches.

Sikander Singh Maluka, President, Punjab Kabaddi Association (PKA) and Senior Vice President, Administrative Committee of 3rd World Cup Kabaddi-2012 gave his heartfelt wishes to Dhindsa for his selection as the Vice Chairman of IOC.

Maluka expressed hope that now Kabaddi could easily be elevated at the national and the international platform.

This was Dhindsa’s first visit to Sangrur, after his election as Vice President of IOC.

Apart from Maluka, Parkash Chand Garg, CPS and Paramjeet Singh SIdhwan, Senior Akali leader extended warm welcome and congratulation to the Finance Minster Dhindsa.
