Apeejay College of Fine Arts organizes a Faculty Development Programme on ‘Digital Payments’

Jalandhar: Apeejay College of Fine Arts organized a faculty development programme for the staff members on ‘Digital Payments’ on Saturday.
Mr.Bhuvan Handa, Assistant Professor from the Department of Commerce was the main spokesperson. The main objective of this programme was to discuss about demonetization and how to deal with digital payments. Various burning issues like need for Digital Payments, their mode of operation, various security issues involved in online payments were discussed at length. The resource person acquainted the audience with Mobile Wallet, Card Payments and Unified Payment interface. He discussed the technique of Mobile Wallet by taking the example of PayTm. He told the gathering never to share share ATM PIN and password with anyone.
On this occasion, Principal Dr. Sucharita Sharma addressed the gathering and said that ‘Digital Payments’ is the need of the day. She said that such initiatives will be very helpful in creating awareness among people and will contribute towards the realization of PM, Mr. Narendra Modi’s dream of ‘Cashless India’. She said that the college always strives to enrich its faculty members and the students with the latest developments. She also thanked Dr. Manisha, Dept. of Commerce for successfully conducting the event.
