Apeejay conducts educational trip to Sri Anandpur Sahib


Students of Apeejay College of Fine Arts visited Sri Anandpur Sahib.

Jalandhar, March 17, 2016: The Department of Punjabi of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar took an endeavour to acquaint the college students with our rich Heritage and History. The Department organised an educational trip to Sri Anandpur Sahib and visited Gurudwara Takhat Sri Kesgarh Sahib, Gurduwara Baba Gurditta Ji and Gurudwara Baba Budhan Shah Ji. More than 50 students also visited Virasat-e-Khalsa where they gathered knowledge about the history of Sikhism from the birth of Guru Nanak Dev Ji to Guru Gobind Singh Ji's last words. Students keenly observed the documentaries or pictures depicting the spread of Sikhism, the wars fought by the great Gurus, the factual history related to Sikhism etc.
Principal Dr. Sucharita shared her views that the college has always put its efforts by leaps and bounds to inculcate the cultural values in the students. She commended the efforts of Department of Punjabi for taking this enterprise to attach the youngsters with their cultural roots.
