Recently, Apeejay School of Management (ASM) organised a two-day World Innovation Patent Conclave 2022 (August 26 & 27, 2022). An elite panel of dignitaries and academicians across the country were invited to discuss and create awareness about Intellectual Property (IP) at the conclave.
Recently, Apeejay School of Management (ASM) organised a two-day World Innovation Patent Conclave 2022 (August 26 & 27, 2022). An elite panel of dignitaries and academicians across the country were invited to discuss and create awareness about Intellectual Property (IP) at the conclave.
The panel members discussed about the research publications, challenges in publications, patent filing and copyright process. They also highlighted the importance of data and ethical values in research.
The purpose of the World Innovation Patent Conclave 2022 was to enlighten the students about the process of how to file patent, its relevance, how to make a draft, how many days it takes in acceptance and then the grant.
Dr Alka Munjal, Director, Apeejay School of Management, deliberated on quality research and ethics in publication. She discussed about the modern and old era of publication. Further, Dr Munjal, emphasised on the ethics while publishing and how academicians are getting trapped in fake publications.
Various speakers dwelled on the need for innovation. Dr Ramesh Chandra Panda, Chief-Scientist at WeGrow and an international patent holder said, “Innovation means you have to define the problem statement with solutions. Repetition is not allowed in research practices. We have to look for novelty. When you are developing theories, take care of citation and bibliography. Make learning a habit if you want to be the best. Learning is earning.” Many speakers shared their insights on innovative research in their respective areas of expertise. The two-day conclave was sponsored by WeGrow Pvt Ltd.
The conclave concluded with research award certificates and appreciation certificates to the organisers of the patent conclave and student volunteers.
