Apeejay Stya University organises Techshield to boost students’ technical prowess
Poster design competition on showing gratitude to ‘frontline corona warriors’ part of the event
Gurugram: The technical club Proxima, constituted by the School of Engineering & Technology (SOET), Apeejay Stya University, organised TECHSHIELD-2021 recently in order to increase competitiveness and prowess among students in the field of contemporary technology. Techshield-2021 witnessed the participation from hundreds of students.
The technical event consisted of three different categories - Hackathon, Web Puzzle and Photoshop.
The Hackathon category was an open platform of competition where students exhibited their talent on software development, computer language, and technique. Some of them built websites, few developed android app like messenger and some developed other web applications within a given time period of 48 hours. Students’ talent was evaluated in the basis of their innovative ideas, scope of project and its applications.
In the Web-Puzzle category, students were required to solve a puzzle over web within a given time limit. The puzzle had 20 questions based on Reasoning (Logical, Verbal and Non-verbal), Analytical skills, Quantitative Aptitude, among others, which helped the students to explore and showcase their mental ability.
In the ‘Photoshop’ category, a poster design competition on the theme 'Salute to frontline Corona Warriers' was conducted for the students using ‘Photoshop’ software. This was an opportunity for students to express themselves with creativity along with social and aesthetic sensibility.
Among the winners were Saksham Arora - 1st Prize and Nitin Rawat - 2nd Prize in the Web Puzzle category; Prachi Aggarwal - 1st Prize and Rajat Bhatt – 2nd Prize in the ‘Photoshop’ category; Anuj Kaushik & Muskan Malik - 1st Prize Krishnan Kumar - 2nd Prize in the Hackathon category.
