Expressing happiness over this achievement, Civil Surgeon Dr. Gurinderbir Kaur said that according to the data released by the Health Ministry on Sunday, 98 per cent of the adult population has received at least one doze while 90 per cent have received both the doses.
She said the data showed that 82 percent of adolescents aged 15 to 18 received the first doze, while 68 percent received both the first and second dozes after vaccination began on 3 January 2022 for this age group. Giving information about the covid vaccination of Kapurthala district, Civil Surgeon Dr. Gurinderbir Kaur said that till now 1356902 people have been vaccinated across the district. Out of which 707061 have been given first, 622546 second and 27295 have been given booster doze.
She said that the target of 18+ population is 668080 out of which 98.52 per cent (658201) have received the first doze while 88.33 per cent (589974) have received the second doze. Civil Surgeon Dr. Gurinderbir Kaur said that similarly the target is to provide COVID vaccine to 38587 adults in the age group 15-17, out of which 86.71 per cent (33458) have received the first doze and 61.48 per cent (23724) have received the second doze have done. diet. Giving information about the vaccination of children in the age group of 12 to 14 years in the district, he said that out of 32052 children, 48.05 percent (15402) have received the first doze and 27.61 percent (8848) have received the second doze.
