Appeal to protesting farmers to maintain good health
It is important to prevent Corona and other infections: Doctors
Ludhiana: Dr Arun Mitra, ENT Surgeon and Senior Vice President IDPD has stated that “We the under mentioned doctors fully support the demands of protesting farmers. It is of utmost importance that your health remains good during this struggle which is expected to go on for quite long period. Our teams have been giving medical care at Singhu and Tikri border regularly under the banner of Indian Doctors for Peace and Development (IDPD). We have been holding General and Dental medical camps as well as specialized Eye and ENT camps in which we fitted spectacles as well as hearing aids to the needy. Our team participated in the Tractor March on 26th January with ambulances and gave medical aid to the injured. We are much concerned about your health. It is important to protect you all from diseases including the COVID. Precautions and care can prevent serious illnesses. Therefore, we appeal to you to:
• Use masks regularly
• Wash your hands and sanitize your hands regularly.
• Avoid large gatherings and even in small gatherings maintain a physical distance of 6 feet
• Get yourself vaccinated against COVID
• Demand from the government to provide free COVID testing facilities and free vaccination to all the protesting farmers
Let the Morcha continue at the Delhi borders but for few weeks avoid large gatherings.
With good health we shall overcome.”
