Applications sought from farmers under sub mission on agricultural mechanisation scheme
Farmers can submit applications till Jan 10: DC
Ludhiana: Under the Sub-Mission on Agricultural Mechanisation Scheme for paddy straw management and for getting subsidy for farm machinery such as bailers (round & square), paddy transplanter (self propelled and walk behind), zero rake, nursery seeder, crop reaper cum binder, raised bed inclined plate planter, power harrow, pneumatic planter, potato planter/potato digger, DRS planter with spray attachment, pneumatic vegetable seeder, maize sheller/thresher/drier, power weeder, tractor operated weeder, electronic sprayer, mist blower, tractor operated hydraulic sprayer etc, the District Administration has sought applications from the farmers of district Ludhiana.
Besides, farm machinery banks for custom hiring worth Rs 10 lakh, Rs 25 lakh and Rs 40 lakh are also to be set up, in which the above mentioned machinery for paddy straw management along with laser leveller are included. The applications can also be submitted for setting up of Rs 100 lakh worth Hitech Custom Hiring Centre for Sugarcane harvester.
Deputy Commissioner Mr Pradeep Kumar Agrawal informed that for the purchase of these machines, farmers can get up to 40% subsidy and 50% subsidy would be given to scheduled caste/small/marginal/farm women. For the custom hiring centres, 35% of the subsidy would be kept separate for paddy straw management.
Chief Agriculture Officer Ludhiana Dr Baldev Singh informed that the interested farmers can submit their applications with their concerned Block Agriculture Officer by January 10, 2020. He informed that the registration on DBT portal of union government is a must for submitting these applications.
