Applications sought from youth for apni gaddi apna rozgar scheme
Subsidy to be provided for purchasing car and auto rickshaw, says DC
Ludhiana: Under the “Ghar Ghar Rozgar and Karobar Mission” of Punjab government, the state government is not only providing employment to the youth, besides they are also being encouraged to start their own businesses. The District Administration has sought applications from the youth under the “Apni Gaddi Apna Rozgar” scheme, in which subsidy would be provided to youth from below poverty line for purchase of cars and auto rickshaws so that they start their own businesses and become self-dependent.
While providing information, Deputy Commissioner Mr Pradeep Kumar Agrawal stated that for the purchase of a car, the youth would be provided subsidy of Rs 75,000 or 15% (which ever is less) of total cost, and for an auto rickshaw Rs 50,000 or 15% (which ever is less) of total cost. He said that the applicant should be a resident of district Ludhiana, his age should be between 21 (as on November 1, 2019) and 45 years, he should be at least class eighth pass, and should have a blue card/smart card along with a valid driving license.
Mr Agrawal said that for availing the benefits of this scheme, youth should download the performa from website, pbemployment.punjab.gov.in, and after filling it properly, should submit it at District Bureau of Employment & Enterprises (DBEE), near Partap Chowk and Sangeet Cinema, Ludhiana before 5 pm on February 4, 2020.
