Apply for subsidized agro machinery by July 20

Ludhiana, June 26, 2023: In order to promote agro-diversification and mechanization, the Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Department has invited applications for availing subsidies on various agriculture machinery under the Sub Mission on Agricultural Mechanization (SMAM) scheme.
Deputy Commissioner Surabhi Malik appealed to the farmers of Ludhiana to apply for subsidized machinery by July 20, 2023, to take maximum advantage of the scheme. She said that the farmers of the state could apply online at the department’s portal agrimachinerypb.com. She said that the aim was to provide state-of-the-art machinery to the farmers at subsidized rates.
Chief Agriculture Officer Dr. Narinder Singh Benipal said that the subsidy was being provided on the purchase of Paddy Transplanters, D.S.R. Drill, Potato Planter (Automatic/ Semi-Automatic), Tractor Operated Boom Sprayer, PTO Operated Bund Former, Oil Mill, Mini Processing Plant, and Nursery Seeder. He said that the farmers should contact the toll-free number 1800-180-1551 and visit Agriculture Office for more information in this regard.
