The Western Command Annual Principals' Meet 2024 was conducted at Army Public School, Jalandhar Cantt on 28-29 August. The event was chaired by Lt Gen MK Katiyar, AVSM, Army Commander Western Command. Other attendees included all Formation Commanders, Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) Directors, Chairmans and Principals of all Army Public Schools of Western Command and select Principals from other Army Public Schools of the country.

Jalandhar, August 31, 2024: The Western Command Annual Principals' Meet 2024 was conducted at Army Public School, Jalandhar Cantt on 28-29 August. The event was chaired by Lt Gen MK Katiyar, AVSM, Army Commander Western Command. Other attendees included all Formation Commanders, Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) Directors, Chairmans and Principals of all Army Public Schools of Western Command and select Principals from other Army Public Schools of the country.
The conclave aimed to elevate the academic benchmarks of the Army Public Schools, with a pronounced focus on holistic well being of the students and educational community along with seamless integration of digital technology to enhance the educational landscape. The Forum facilitated an in-depth exchange of views through presentations by the Principals on the progress of infrastructure development of Army Public Schools in alignment with NEP 2020. The discussions were geared towards the sharing of best practices and innovative educational strategies.
Keynote presentations included a comprehensive overview of AWES activities highlighting the organization's initiatives and achievements in the realm of educational excellence, "Digital Citizenship & Online Safety" and “Implementation and Impact of National Credit Framework in Army Public Schools".
Agenda Based discussion was carried out on Inclusive Education Initiatives, Promotion of Games and Sports in APSs and Model Aspirational APSs. The event concluded with the award of ‘The Academic Excellence Rolling Trophy’ to APS Kandrori & APS Noida and Co-Scholastic Trophy to APS Delhi Cantt. The awards were presented by Lt Gen MK Katiyar, AVSM, GOC-in-C, Western Command in recognition of their exceptional achievements.
