Ar Sanjay Goel reacts to Punjab Budget
Says there is less allocation of budget for infrastructure development in Punjab
Ludhiana: Reacting to Punjab Budget Ar. Sanjay Goel, Director- Ludhiana Smart City Ltd (LSCL) and Chairman- Indian Institute of Architects Punjab Chapter (IIAPC) has stated here today that there is less allocation of budget for infrastructure development in Punjab, both in rural and urban areas.
Regarding announcement made to set up 7 hostels for women in Jalandhar, Patiala, Ludhiana, Mohali, Mansa, Barnala and Amritsar he said this is a conscientious gift to women on International Women's Day.
On 2 medical college one each in Kapurthala and Hoshiarpur, he said this is an exemplary step to escalate medical professionals and to fight future pandemics.
He welcomed the announcement of Rs 16,557 crore for rural, urban and other infrastructure but said that now doubt this is a good initiative but budget is very less for livable/smart Punjab.
On Rs 16,302 crore kept for education, he hoped that government educational institutions shall compete with private ones in Punjab.
On the announcement of setting up of 25 new bus stands, he hoped that smart bus stands may add more comfort to everyone.
With regard to an announcement made for earmarking Rs.7856 crores for health infrastructure project, he said it is expected that Punjab will get healthcare buildings/projects in neglected areas.
