Ludhiana, August 29, 2022: Architects of Ludhiana and other cities of Punjab under the banner of The Indian Institute of Architects discussed "Innovate Your World with Glass" during an Architect's meet. More than one hundred leading architects attended the event and presentations on use of glass were shared by experts from the industry.

Architect Sanjay Goel- one of the director of Ludhiana Smart City Limited (LSCL)and Chairman of IIA Punjab Chapter was Chief guest gave the welcome speech and he shared his viewpoints regarding use of glass in modern buildings. He explained how we all can learn from our experiences with the clients and their queries.

Glass has been a fascinating material to humankind since it was first made in about 500 BC. At first thought to possess magical properties, glass has come a long way. It is one of the most versatile and oldest materials in the building industry.  From its humble beginnings as a window pane in luxury houses to sophisticated structural members in new age buildings, its role in architecture has evolved over the years.

Ar Vivek Sehgal, Associate Professor at GNDEC School of Architecture is an Architect by profession shared few words on Glass and gave knowledge about the uses in Modern buildings. His area of interest is anthropology, ekistics, acoustics and bioclimatic Architecture.

Architects liked presentations on clear float glass, tinted glass, reflective glass, solar control glass, frosted glass and mirror.
Meeting was attended by more than one hundred architects including Yogesh Singla, Pritpal Singh Ahluwalia, Rajan Tangri, Bimaldeep Singh, Baljit Bawa,Rupinder Ahuja, Nagendra Narayan, Akanksha Sharma, Vivek Sehgal, Harsh, Harneet Kaur, Nikhil Singhania, Balvir Singh, Rajvinder Singh, Ravinder Singh, Nikhil Jindal, and architects from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering college- School of Architecture.
