Architects role important for healthy world: DC

Ludhiana, October 4, 2021: Clean Environment for a healthy world is most important and architects are always suppose to play a professional role. These words were shared by Varinder Kumar Sharma, Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana as Chief Guest during World Architecture Day celebration by Ludhiana Architects under banner of The Indian Institute of Architects Ludhiana Centre (IIALC).
Chief guest DC Varinder Kumar Sharma explained many upcoming projects in Ludhiana city including International Airport at Halwara, Rejuvenation of Buddha Dariya and many more in upcoming smart city. He also shared his journey of life with respect to total built environment. He praised the role of IIALC in development of Ludhiana.
Ar. Sanjay Goel – One of the Director of Ludhiana Smart City Limited and Chairman of The Indian Institute Of Architects Punjab Chapter (IIAPC) as guest of honour shared his view points regarding role of architects in smart city mission that how clean environment can create a healthy world.
All the speakers including Yogesh Singla, Bimaldeep Singh, Akansha Sharma, Vivek Sehgal, Vikas Sharma, Satish Tanwar, G.S sachdeva, G.S Dhillon shared their view points in detail about the role of architects for creating clean environment for healthy living as per this year theme.
Meeting was attended by Harinder Boparai – Chairman IIALC, Yogesh Singla – Past Chairman IIALC, Balbir Bagga – Vice Chairman IIALC, Bimaldeep Singh – Seceratery IIALC, G. S Dhillon, Vikas Sharma, Jaideep Arora, Vivek Sehgal, Navjot Kaur, Tarsem Goyal, Ravinder Singh, Akansha Sharma, Nidhi Raheja, Ashish Raheja, Harvish Kaur, Harneet Kaur, Saurav Seth, Nikhil Singhania, Mehak Arora, Sanchi Goel, Satish Tanwar and many more. Event was also attended by architects from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College – School of Architecture, Ludhiana.
Chief Guest also emphasised that Clean environment is must for our healthy life which we all have learnt maximum during pandemic time. Smart and educated citizens must create healthier and liveable life. We need neat and clean cities, towns and villages. Smart Cities can be created with a lot of joint efforts on all fronts including creating smart villages and towns too, so that migration to cities can be minimised. So, let us design for the present with awareness of the historic connections of the past and a futuristic planned approach for the future.
