ARMED FORCES FLAG DAY CELEBRATED IN LUDHIANA

Ludhiana, December 7, 2017: Armed Forces Flag Day was celebrated at District Administrative Complex, Ludhiana today. On this day, our fellow countrymen remember the sacrifices made by our army personnel for our country and donate huge amounts of funds under Armed Forces Flag Day fund for the families of our martyrs, army personnel disabled during war and for war widows. This day is celebrated every year on December 7.

While speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Mr Pardeep Kumar Agrawal appealed to all district residents to wholeheartedly donate for the fund. On this occasion, Wing Commander Mr. G S Mangat tied the flag to him. Mr. Ravinder Singh, Mrs. Harvinder Kaur, Mr Bharpoor Singh, Mr. Varun Gupta from District Sainik Welfare Office, besides several others were present. Deputy Commissioner also released special issue on World War-1 centenary `Ran Yodhe 2017`.
