Army Attachment Camp of NCC Cadets kicked off in Jalandhar Cantonment

Under the aegis of NCC Group Headquarters Jalandhar, the Army Attachment Camp of Senior Division Cadets began at Jalandhar Cantonment. 210 cadets are going to participate in this camp. Cadets from four NCC battalions are participating in a 12-day army day-night camp to get a closer look of the working style of the Indian Army.

Army Attachment Camp of NCC Cadets kicked off in Jalandhar Cantonment

Jalandhar, January 18, 2025: Under the aegis of NCC Group Headquarters Jalandhar, the Army Attachment Camp of Senior Division Cadets began at Jalandhar Cantonment. 210 cadets are going to participate in this camp. Cadets from four NCC battalions are participating in a 12-day army day-night camp to get a closer look of the working style of the Indian Army.

In this camp, NCC cadets will learn the responsibilities and procedures of various army regiments. Colonel Vinod Joshi, Commanding Officer of 2 Punjab NCC Battalion, said that all preparations for providing military training to the cadets were completed yesterday late night. Cadets from Hoshiarpur, Kapurthala, Phagwara and Jalandhar will receive training on drill, military weapons, firing, leadership qualities, respect for all religions, war drills etc. Visits to various army battalions have been planned for training. These include Artillery Regiment, Engineer Regiment, Combat Infantry Battalion, Communication Regiment etc. Colonel Joshi said that every year around 4000 NCC cadets conduct attachment camps with the Indian Army across the country. Army, Air Force and Navy organize this camp for cadets. Its second objective is to give the cadets detailed information about the commission and the Agniveer recruitment process. Army attachment camps inculcate the spirit of patriotism, selfless service and national service among the cadets. Cadets are given bonus marks in NCC exams for camping with the armed forces. The camp is being run by Captain Arnish Sehgal and Junior Commissioned Officers of Sikh Light Infantry.

Associate NCC officers from various colleges and military instructors from NCC battalions are participating in the camp. Naib Subedar Kuldeep Singh and CHM Gurwinder Singh have been posted with 2 Punjab NCC Battalion for supervision and discipline.
