Army chief Manoj Pande pays obeisance at Golden Temple

Amritsar, June 25 (HS): Army Chief General Manoj Pande and his wife, Archana Pande, prayed at the Golden Temple on Sunday. He listened to 'Shabad Kirtan' in the VIP area of the sanctum sanctorum before offering his prayers at Akal Takht, Sikhs' highest temporal seat.
Pande was presented with a collection of Sikh holy texts, a model of the Golden Temple, and shawls by officials from the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee at the Golden Temple's information centre.
"I feel blessed to have the privilege of paying obeisance at the Golden Temple," he wrote in the visitor's book before leaving the information desk. "I pray to the Almighty for the safety and health of army personnel of all ranks."
