Army College of Nursing celebrated 14th annual day

Army College of Nursing, Jalandhar Cantt celebrated its 14th Annual Day today. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Lt Gen Vijay B Nair, SM, General Officer Commanding, Vajra Corps. The function was also attended by Maj Gen Vikas Saini, SM, VSM** Chief of Staff, HQ 11 Corps and senior Army officers as well as Civil dignitaries.

Jalandhar, April 30, 2024: Army College of Nursing, Jalandhar Cantt celebrated its 14th Annual Day today. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Lt Gen Vijay B Nair, SM, General Officer Commanding, Vajra Corps. The function was also attended by Maj Gen Vikas Saini, SM, VSM** Chief of Staff, HQ 11 Corps and senior Army officers as well as Civil dignitaries.
 
At the outset, Brigadier Kuldeep Kumar Ashta, Commandant, Military Hospital Jalandhar Cantt & Director of College, extended a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, other dignitaries and parents / guests who graced the function.
 
Prof (Dr) Vadivukkarasi P, Principal, Army College of Nursing, Jalandhar Cantt presented the Annual Report of the College highlighting the achievements of the students in academics and co-curricular/sports activities.
 
The highlights of the function was, a well-choreographed cultural programme organized by the students with songs and group dances which totally enthralled the audience. The programme included Prize Distribution to Meritorious students and the Achievers.
 
During his address to students, Lt Gen Vijay B Nair, SM, GOC 11 Corps and Patron of the college, highlighted the role of nursing as one of the noblest professions. He complemented the contribution of the ACN whose 155 alumni have so far joined the Armed Forces including the Military Nursing Service. The college has the distinction of 100% placement of students passing out every year in reputed hospitals of India.
 
The college is also contributing immensely to health of Army personnel in Military Hospital Jalandhar Cantt as well as civilian population in Cantonment Board Hospital and other living in rural areas in close proximity of Jalandhar Cantt during various Community training sessions.  Curtains were drawn on the ceremony by the Vice President, Students Nurses Association of the college thanking all dignitaries, staff of Vajra Corps and MH Jalandhar Cantt for their encouragement, guidance.
