Army launches tree plantation drive

Jalandhar, July 14, 2014: “Team 223” has always endeavored to make a difference in all spheres. One such example towards social responsibility is the major Tree Plantation drive undertaken under the leadership of Commandant of 223 Advance Base Ordinance Depot (ABOD) on 14 July 2014.
In order to boost horticulture and give an aesthetic facelift to Junior Commissioned Officer & Other Rank’s family quarter area, approx 1000 fruit bearing trees like Lichie, Amla, Guava and Mango have been planted. Further in order to sensitise the young children towards social & environmental responsibility to make our planet green & clean.  This Tree Plantation drive prominently includes the Junior Commission Officer & Other Rank’s families & children.
