6th Battalion of the Sikh Light Infantry organising Contact Programme for Veer Naris and ex-servicemen (ESM) at Jalandhar on Monday.
Jalandhar, July 22, 2013: 6th Battalion of the Sikh Light Infantry organised Contact Programme for Veer Naris and ex-servicemen (ESM) at Jalandhar today.
About 200 ESM and 30 Veer Naris attended the programme from far flung areas of Jalandhar district. Some veterans who have fought the 1965 and 1971 Wars shared their experiences and motivated the youth present during the event. Unit Second-in-Command (2IC) highlighted the welfare schemes started by the unit for the Veer Naris and the ESM. An invitation for the upcoming Golden Jubilee was also extended to everybody. Tea and snacks were catered for everybody.
Next Meet will be conducted at Pathankot on July 24, 2013 for the Veer Naris and ESM of Pathankot district.
