As normalcy returns in Ferozepur, DC calls upon people to follow social distancing as national duty to contain covid-19 pandemic

Ferozepur: Deputy Commissioner Ferozepur Mr. Kulwant Singh said as normalcy was resuming in the district after the lifting of the curfew so it was crucial on the part of the general public to follow social distancing norms besides using masks and other preventive measures to keep Covid-19 pandemic at bay. 
Reviewing the situation in the aftermath of curfew, the Deputy Commissioner said that administration has already made elaborate arrangements for bringing the life back on the normalcy in the Ferozepur. 
He said that the shops were opening in the district from 7 am to 6 pm and business was as usual in these commercial establishments adding he said that elaborate security arrangements have been made to ensure that social distancing norms were being implemented. 
The deputy commissioner said that in prevailing conditions arising out of the Covid-19 pandemic, the social distancing and wearing of the mask have emerged alike national duties to ensure that the spread of Corona Virus was checked in the district 
He said that on the directions of the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, curfew was lifted to give a fillip to the economic activity in the district. Mr. Kulwant Singh said that now the ball was in the court of the people as they have to play a vanguard role for further checking the spread of Covid 19.  
He said that we must adopt social distancing norms, wearing masks and maintaining hygiene in our day to day lives and follow these golden principles zealously to ensure that the Covid-19 was checked in the district. The Deputy Commissioner complimented the Covid warriors and all the officers of the Police and civil administration, Medical and Paramedical staff, sanitary workers and others who have been instrumental in checking the spread of Covid 19.
