As Sony SAB’s Wagle Ki Duniya nears its 2nd year anniversary, Pariva Pranati opens up about her character’s journey on the show

Sony SAB’s Wagle Ki Duniya – Nayi Peedhi Naye Kissey is slice of life family drama that is thought-provoking and heart-warming at the same time. Wagle Ki Duniya gives its audience an insight into the struggles of a middle-class family while tackling societal issues with sensitivity. The show is set to complete two years and Vandana Wagle’s (Pariva Pranati) character has been loved by the audience and has seen immense growth over time. This is what Pariva has to say on the evolution of Vandana’s character and Pariva’s portrayal of a strong woman character on television.

When asked about working with the cast and her character, Pariva said, “I’ve always wanted to do a show that impacts lives of people and contributes positively to the society but, with Wagle Ki Duniya I received way more than that. There’s a lot of thought put into the show by the team and the cast has been an absolute dream to work with. Over the last two years we have faced many ups and downs as a team and it’s only made our bond stronger. With Vandana I feel, her beauty lies in her imperfections. She might falter but, refuses to give up and is always willing to learn. Her genuine love for her family shines through and the chemistry she shares with her in-laws is special.” 

Talking about how Vandana’s journey on the show and how playing a strong female character has impacted her, Pariva said, “Vandana is someone I resonate with a lot. It’s very easy to understand her emotions and temperament. Be it getting upset over a cup of coffee or enjoying her husband’s attention, Vandana is raw and relatable and embodies how a mother feels, effortlessly. It’s been a delight showing her various shades to the viewers. Her journey over the last two years has been incredible. There are so many episodes that became a guiding light for us and I found myself crying profusely whenever the Wagle family underwent any turmoil. I truly feel like I have connected to the soul of Vandana.”  She also added, “The fans have been incredibly kind and supportive of our show and I want to thank them for showing Vandana so much love. My message to them is, be kind and considerate to people around you and treat everyone around with care. Stay happy and keep loving us.”
