Asha Hooda gave one week ultimatum to government to provide clean water to Rohtak citizens

Rohtak, April 29, 2024: Today, a large number of city residents along with the parties of the Indian Alliance took to the streets against the supply of contaminated water to the residents of Rohtak.
This demonstration was led by Asha Hooda, wife of former Haryana CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda. Rohtak MLA Bharat Bhushan Batra, Kalanaur MLA Shakuntala Khatak, AAP leader Loveleen Tuteja and CPI(M) leader Jagmati Sangwan were also present.
The protesters submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner.
Asha Hooda said this fight will continue until the city residents get clean drinking water. “If the government does not take any concrete steps in this matter for a week, we will go on a hunger strike and this strike will continue till we do not get clean water,” she added.
Rohtak MLA Bharat Bhushan Batra had also earlier raised this issue in the Assembly.
