Ashish Mittal Foundation initiates tree plantation project
The project will further carry on the responsibility of making the region green
Zirakpur: The Ashish Mittal Foundation, considering the fact that Punjab's forest cover is less than four per cent, making it the second lowest in India, launched a tree plantation project in the state.
Mr Ashish Mittal, Chairman of Ashish Mittal Foundation (AMF), said that trees are necessary for all living beings on the Earth and under the project, for every Rs 60, his foundation will plant a tree on the roadside and take care of it till it become big enough.”
Ashish Mittal Foundation started the plantation drive initially with around 100 trees in the periphery of Banur town in Punjab state. A large number of volunteers were present on the occasion. The project will further carry on the responsibility of making the region green.
