Ashu reviews Ludhiana's developmental projects
The cabinet minister directed the officials to expedite the execution of development projects
Ludhiana: Punjab Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu on Tuesday reviewed the progress of Ludhiana's various developmental projects.
Presiding over a meeting at Chandigarh, the cabinet minister directed the officials to expedite the execution of development projects including new Athletic Track in Guru Nanak Stadium, installing Bio-Gas plant in Haibowal Dairy Complex, Buddha Nullah rejuvenation, Door to Door Waste Collection, Transportation from Secondary Points, and Processing of waste, hiring a consultant for converting waste to energy plant under Solid Waste Management projects.
Bharat Bhushan Ashu stated that he has been personally monitoring the progress of all the projects of Ludhiana on weekly basis and warned that strict action would be taken against officials if there is any lapse on their behalf.
He further said that under the visionary and dynamic leadership of the Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, the state government is committed to giving a fillip to the projects under various schemes and the Smart City program. He said that the work on these projects would be completed soon to ensure that city residents are benefitted from it.
He expressed hope that an era of unprecedented development and prosperity would usher in Ludhiana with these development projects.
Senior officials of various departments, Mayor Balkar Singh Sandhu, MC Commissioner Pardeep Kumar Sabharwal and others were present.
