Ashwini Vaishnaw announces rail link to Mata Shakambhari Siddhpeeth in UP
Arrived in Saharanpur on a one-day visit
Saharanpur, June 24 (HS): On Saturday, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced the inauguration of a train service from the western Uttar Pradesh district of Saharanpur to the Mata Shakambhari Devi Siddhpeeth. According to the minister, the survey for constructing the train route linking the Hindu pilgrimage site has begun.
Vaishnaw, who arrived in Saharanpur on a one-day visit on Saturday, informed reporters at the railway station here that the railway line project up to Shakambhari Siddhapeeth has been approved, and Rs 2 crore has been sanctioned for a full project survey. He stated that during the Ministry of Railways study, a map will be produced for building the track for approximately 81 km from Saharanpur to Mata Shakambhari Devi. Visitors to the Siddhapeeth include devotees from different states as well as adjacent areas. The minister also dedicated a railway park in Govind Nagar, Saharanpur, and a railway overbridge in Sheikhpura Kadim.
