This occasion was also for a message oriented friendly hockey match, organized by District Kapurthala Police, between LPU and Police Teams. During individual interactions made by hockey stars with students, they admitted that they all feel great when they realize the whole of the LPU family and people of the country admire their efforts in the sports-field. Equating sports and studies as processes of hard work, the trio of MBA and MA programs advise students to always concentrate on their goals. “Never let that depression suppresses you, always keep on motivating yourself that you can achieve the desired end. Stay positive to perform well and win.” The friendly match was won by the Police Team by 2-1 scores.
On this occasion, LPU Pro Chancellor Rashmi Mittal chaired the campaign with Guest of Honour SSP Kapurthala Vatsala Gupta IPS, SP (Phagwara) Gurpreet Singh Gill in the company of other ranks of their Police team. Addressing students and faculty members, Rashmi Mittal welcomed the three out of a total nine gold winning star players at the campus and wished them to always keep India’s tri-colour and LPU flag high in the sky. Mrs Mittal also hailed the endeavour of Kapurthala Police and invoked all to stand firm in raising voice against social ills. She also motivated youth to follow in the steps of the gold winning team to make India the best country in the world.
During the interactive awareness session, SSP Gupta shared: “All at LPU can become motivators and guides in playing a big social role in de-addiction programmes. I and my whole team are with you.” She urged all to help Police in carrying forward this agenda in a better way as Police is always there to help the victimised persons. SSP Gupta asked all to make teams with police on Social Media to play a more meaningful role in motivating the new generation to get rid of all social ills.
