ASSAULT ON AIG MAND: Accused “expelled” Youth Akali Dal leaders

Chandigarh, December 25, 2012: As per the spokesperson and Chairman of Youth Akali Dal Disciplinary Committee Param Bans Singh Romana said that Maninderpal Singh (Sunny Johar) Senior Vice President and Rishi Banda Vice President (both from Ludhiana) and Jaskirat Singh Vice President (from Amritsar) had been expelled from Youth Akali Dal membership on May 29, 2012 for antiparty activities in MC elections.

Meanwhile, it may be mentioned here that at a press conference here today, ADGP intelligence Hardeep Dhillon too had told that the accused were not associated to the Youth Akali Dal, as they were expelled from the party a few months ago.

As per the available information, Punjab DGP Sumedh Singh Saini has deputed ADGP intelligence Hardeep Dhillon to Ludhiana to inquire into the whole incident and submit his report.

Meanwhile, the police have sealed The Hub, where the incident took place late last night. Police are conducting raids to nab the accused.
