Jalandhar, October 20, 2014: It is well said that “The only source of knowledge is experience.” Thematic curriculum makes a child learn through experience. It increases effective use of Computers and Technology. It compact the curriculum and demonstrates the interdisciplinary nature of learning. It also increases students’ interest in learning and time engaged by utilising both collaborative and cooperative learning.

Role-playing is simply a continuation of the learning already done by students. Role playing teaches many lessons; some of the most important lessons it teaches are lessons that are needed in society, competition, cooperation and empathy. Role-play allows for the interaction between classmates and peers. It also allows introvert students to speak out.

Under the leadership, guidance and motivation of Principal S Chauhan, the young stars of Grade K2 Buttercups, Carnations and Marigold enacted wonderful role plays based on their themes about placing an order at McDonalds and taking money back, demonstration of Soluble and Insoluble things and also about different types and parts of a plant. The Students of Grade II also performed amazing role plays based on their theme about a trip to a Jungle and a trip to a Farm. They demonstrated first-aid, spoke about farm animals and wild animals and also different types of plants.

The morning came to an end with magnificent dance performances by students of Grade II based on their theme that took away everybody’s heart.
