Atam Nagar MLA urges Union ministry to allocate ATI land for road widening

Ludhiana, April 29, 2025: Atam Nagar MLA Kulwant Singh Sidhu urged the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India, to allocate a 25' x 2630' vacant land adjacent to the Advanced Training Institute (ATI) on Gill Road, Ludhiana, to the Municipal Corporation Ludhiana (MCL) for road widening.

The ATI Road, a critical stretch connecting densely populated residential and industrial areas, suffers from long traffic congestion, impeding daily commutes and delaying emergency services such as ambulances and fire brigades.

MLA Sidhu stated that he has also raised the issue in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha and emphasized that widening the road would significantly reduce traffic bottlenecks, enhance public safety, and improve accessibility for residents.

Sidhu urged the Ministry to prioritize this public welfare initiative and expedite the transfer of the specified land to MCL. He stressed that the proposed road expansion would ensure smoother traffic flow and better serve the community’s needs.

The MLA called for swift action, underscoring the urgency of addressing this long-standing issue for the benefit of Ludhiana’s residents.
