Atwal, Dhillon visit ailing cultural icon Jagdev Singh Jassowal

Ludhiana, December 1, 2014: Punjab Vidhan Sabha speaker Charanjit Singh Atwal and Irrigation Minister Sharanjit Singh Dhillon today visited ailing Cultural icon and former MLA Jagdev Singh Jassowal at Dayanand Medical College and Hospital, here. Both of them wished him speedy recovery and directed the hospital authorities to keep them updated about Jassowal’s health.
Dr Rajoo Singh Chhina, medical superintendent, DMCH accompanied both the leaders and informed that Mr Jagdev Singh Jassowal’s health is now improving.
Sharanjit Singh Dhillon said that Jassowal is a cultural icon and being founder of Prof Mohan Singh Memorial Foundation, has contributed a lot for Punjabi culture and literature and that is why he is famously known as "Baba Bohar".
Charanjit Singh Atwal said that people like Jassowal are the torch bearers of our society and the state government has already announced that they would bear all expenses for his treatment.
Few days ago, Cultural Affairs Minister Sohan Singh Thandal had also inquired about Jassowal';s health and later Deputy Commissioner Rajat Agarwal had visited Jassowal on behalf of the Chief Minister.
