Prasoon Joshi is widely regarded as one of Hindi cinema's finest lyricists. He is loved by many because of his command on the language and outspoken nature. During Sahitya AajTak 2022, he said that the audience can compel creators to come up with quality content by rejecting anything that is 'cheap' or 'vulgar' He further asked viewers to make an 'informed choice' while deciding what to watch on OTT platforms.
'LISTENERS HAVE POWER TO REJECT'
Prasoon Joshi, who has been serving as the Chairperson of the Central Board Of Film Certification since 2017, feels that the audience can improve the quality of songs and shows produced by content creators by rejecting anything that is not appropriate.
"I love my language. This prevents me from writing vulgar stuff. I feel the language used should never be lazy. That said, this is not a one-way street. The responsibility does not fall on any one person alone. It is ultimately the audience that listens. The listeners have the power to reject. They can make an informed choice. This applies all the more to OTT," he said.
