Avinash Rai Khanna writes to Salman Khursheed on issue of kidnapping of two Sikhs in Pakistan

Jalandhar, 15 February, 2014: Avinash Rai Khanna, MP, has written to the Minister for External Affairs Salman Khursheed, on the issue of kidnapping of two Sikhs in Pakistan.  
In his communication, he has stated that it has appeared in dailies that some gunmen have kidnapped 2 Sikhs namely Pavinder Singh and Nand Singh in Pakistan. However, it is also reported later on they have been released but the question is that the minorities are not safe in Pakistan. It is also a fact that for minorities living in Pakistan, our government is also not taking interest to pressurise Pakistan for the safety of persons and property of minorities. Even a simple statement is also not issued when such type of incidents take place, the communication reads.
Khanna further wrote: “Please take serious note of this incident and ask the Pakistan Government to identify the kidnappers and to take action against them.
