Ludhiana, December 10, 2019: The Punjab Government is organising various events under the Ghar Ghar Rozgar Mission, so under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Mr Pradeep Kumar Agrawal and CEO District Bureau of Employment & Enterprises (DBEE) Mrs Neeru Katyal Gupta, a mass awareness camp was organised by the Punjab Skill Development Mission (PSDM) and DBEE Ludhiana at Government ITI Samrala, today. This camp was organised under the Sankalp program, in which around 150 students participated.
Today was the third Mass Awareness Camp, that was organised at Government ITI, Samrala. SDM Samrala Mrs Geetika Singh was the chief guest on the occasion. She interacted with the candidates and motivated them towards acquiring skills and need for skill development in the current situation as per the industry demands. She also motivated candidates to select career goals.
Deputy CEO Mr Navdeep Singh from DBEE, explained all schemes provided by the Punjab government, such as job placements of the candidates, free of cost trainings, loan facilities to start the business after these trainings and various other things for the benefits of skill trained candidates.
Mr Vijay Singh (District Program Manager) stated that those candidates who are not able to continue further studies must attend certain skill course which will help youth to get employment. He said that the benefits of Skill Training are that it is free of cost skill training, government of India approved certificate, assured job placements, after training one can start his/her own business with the help of various loan facilities, stipend will also be given to students under a few different schemes, special classes on soft skills, IT, Personal Development will be provided, any school/college dropout or any unemployed youth can get this training. He informed that PSDM training partners have around 40 skill courses in Ludhiana District and anyone can acquire these and start their life.
Government ITI Samrala Principal Mr Harminder Singh was also present on the occasion.
Mr Uttam Kumar, Senior Manager from Punjab & Sind Bank, explained about the government of India approved loan facilities which can help candidates to easily get loan n start their own business.
Mrs Paramveer Kaur, BDPO Samrala put really great efforts to bring candidates from villages to attend this event.
