Awareness Drive on International Day for Preservation of Ozone Layer
The Centre for Social Work and NCC 1 CHD Girls Battalion of Panjab University jointly organized “Awareness Drive” today to celebrate the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone layer. The drive was conducted in collaboration with Chandigarh Pollution Control Committee.
Chandigarh, September 16, 2024: The Centre for Social Work and NCC 1 CHD Girls Battalion of Panjab University jointly organized “Awareness Drive” today to celebrate the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone layer. The drive was conducted in collaboration with Chandigarh Pollution Control Committee.
The drive was kicked off with a rally in PU Campus started from Gandhi Bhawan. The aim was to educate the community about the importance of protecting the Ozone layer. With the help of posters and educational materials, the impact of ozone depletion was highlighted and awareness was created by the students and faculty about the practical steps that an individual can take to mitigate this issue. Students of centre of social work and PU NCC remain actively involved in addressing the environmental & social concerns for the welfare of the society. The activity was also the part of SERB project (CRG/2023/005906) of Prof Neetu Goel.
About 50 students from Centre for Social Work and girls cadets of NCC, PU had participated in the event under the guidance of Prof. Monica Munjial Singh, Chairperson Centre for Social Work and Dr Shweta Rana, CTO, 1 CHD Girls Btn, PU.
